New Generation Service

From grade school to universities Rotary believes in working closely with youth. Supporting their needs for education and life experiences, sharing volunteer opportunities, scholarships and world exchange student options all fall under the New Generations Avenue of Service.

EarlyAct is for students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grade who want to do volunteer projects for less fortunate children in the local area as well as projects that benefit children from 3rd world countries.

Interact is the program for high school students in the local area. They also have service projects that benefit their communities as well as national and international projects .The Orland Park Club proudly sponsors Sandburg High School’s Interact club and their current projects.

Rotaract offers college level students an opportunity to work closely with Rotary while enhancing their own volunteer projects. Trinity Christian College and the Orland Park Rotary currently work together in this way.

RYLA is also for high school students, allowing them to experience fellowship and volunteerism first hand .The Orland Park Club proudly has sponsored up to 9-10 students the past few years for this very hands on and powerful weekend.

The Youth Exchange program sends high school students to foreign countries for an extended period of time while welcoming students from around the world into the United States. Each year, the Orland Park club normally has one or two students “outbound” and one “inbound” to live in the area and go to one of the schools in our district.
